Thomas Clancey

Thomas Clancey 67, of Weirton, died January 5, 2001, at the Weiron Medical Center after a lengthly illness. He was born in Steubenville, Ohio on March 4, 1933, son of the late John and Anna Rowland Clancey. He was proceeded in death by a brother Kenneth and one sister Joan George. Thomas retired form the Weirton Steel Company where he worked in the Coke Plant Department as a Mechanical Supervisor with 33 years of service. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Weirton. He was a US Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict with the 82nd Air Borne Infantry Division. Member of the 25 year club of Weirton Steel Co. and AARP. He is survived by his wife Marie Pate Clancey of Weirton, WV, two sons, Thomas C. Clancey of Los Angelos, Calif. and Michael Clancey of Colorado Springs, Col., one daughter Tara Clancey of Scottsdale, Arizona, two brothers Jack Clancey of Weirton, WV, and Jerry Clancey of Steubenville, Ohio, and 4 grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 7, 200l from 1-3 & 7-9 at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton, WV. Prayer service will be Sunday evening, 7:00PM in the funeral home. Funeral liturgy with mass will be Monday, Jan. 8, 11:00am at St. Joseph the Worker Church, Weirton. WV. Entombment at St. Paul's Cemetery Mausoleum with Military services by the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Tri-State Marine Corps.
