Veronica Hutton

Veronica (Virney) Hutton, 85, of Weirton, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2008 at the Weirton Medical Center. Born June 16, 1923 in Weirton, WV, Veronica was the daughter of the late Joseph and Honorata Sweda Sudol. Veronica was preceded in death by her husband, George Hutton in 1992, her brother John Sudol, and her four sisters, Laura Wajda, Josephine Maslowski-Otey, Cecilia Ohalek, Helen Kasprzak, and one nephew, Joseph Maslowski.
Veronica was Catholic by faith. She was retired from the Weirton Geriatric Center where she worked as Head of Housekeeping for many years. She was a member of the Beaver Meadows Golf League and a Charter Member of the Waterford Golf Course.
Veronica is survived by seven nieces and seven nephews; eleven great-nieces and fifteen great nephews; eighteen great-great nieces and fifteen great-great nephews. She will also be sadly missed by her neighbors and her many friends.
In accordance with Veronica's wishes, there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 21, 2008 at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton.

I had the great pleasure of working with Verney back in the 70’s and I’ve gotta say that Verney, Dorothy, Cecelia & I had a great time. Verney was a lovely lady and provided us with many laughs. She will be very much missed, but may she find peace in Heaven with George, Cecelia, Carolyn & Dorothy. Love you Verney!
