Virgel H. Huff, 66, of Weirton passed away Monday, May 20, 2013 in his residence. He was the husband of the late Donna Lee Mihal Huff who passed away on April 14, 2013. Born on January 11, 1947 in East Liverpool, Ohio Virgel was a son of Wilma Jean Mills Huff Lockhart of New Cumberland and the late Leon H. Huff. Virgel was a graduate of Oak Glen High School. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for Weirton Steel Corporation in the Tin Mill for over 30 years before his retirement and enjoyed going to Mountaineer Race Track and Casino where he owned several race horses. In addition to his mother he is survived by a son Christopher A. Huff of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; a daughter Candace Ann Campbell (Andrew) of Weirton; grandchildren Candace Ann Knox and Charles Campbell; great-grandsons Tristen and CJ Knox; four brothers Edward Huff (Louanne) of New Cumberland, Raymond Huff (Robin) of East Liverpool, Leonard Huff of CA and Leon Huff of Chester; three sisters Patty Lewis of GA, Mary Lee Dungan of WA and Vicki Haase of East Liverpool. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-5pm at the Greco- Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton where services will be held 11 AM on Friday. Interment will be held in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton where Military Services will be conducted by the American Legion Honor Guard.
