Virginia Lois “ Ginny” Graham of Weirton, a feisty lady ahead of her time, passed away on October 23, 2021, at the age of 93. Her family was at her side. Virginia was born in Weirton, WV, on October 6, 1928, the firstborn to Joseph and Pearl Salley Zimin. Ginny graduated from Weir High School in 1946. After graduation, she worked at Weirton Steel as a stenographer and administrative assistant. Unfortunately, when she married Bernard Wenzowki, the steel mill had a policy that you could no longer be married and work for Weirton Steel, and Ginny’s employment was terminated. However, Ginny still maintained a lifelong career as an administrative assistant working for numerous companies, including Equitable Gas and Rokisky and Associates. In 1974, Ginny married Albert. E.Graham. Albert and Ginny enjoyed many happy years together. Albert, who worked for the City of Weirton as a superintendent in the sanitation department, was also a veteran of World War II. He interpreted English and French for the American allies. Albert and Ginny enjoyed traveling to France to visit Albert’s friends from World War ll. Unfortunately, Albert passed away in 2009. Ginny was a talented artist and seamstress. She loved to sketch and paint. She made a lot of her clothing and many outfits for her daughter. Ginny also would pass the time by making cross-stitch and playing the piano. She took piano lessons in her eighties and made Tik -Tok videos in her nineties. Highly competitive, Ginny loved to beat her husband in tennis and bowling. Later in life, she liked to reminisce about her farm and visit George’s Hill. Some will remember Ginny for her lead foot when she drove her RX-7 or shifted gears in her 300 ZX. But, most of all, Ginny will be remembered for the love she had for her family and her animals. She will be remembered with love by her son, Michael (Luanne) Wenzowski; her daughter, Virginia “Ginny” Cavalet; her three sisters, Frances L. Corey, Gloria L. Hartman, and Betty Jo Bake; her grandchildren, Mark (Darah) Wenzowski, Kathleen (Thomas) Paredes, Danielle (Paul) Vilga; Dr. Dana (Joseph) Lounder, Danielle (Chris) Conlon, and Mark (Katie) Tiberio; and nine great-grandchildren. Ginny will be cremated. For Ginny’s love for animals, memorial contributions may be made to the Hancock County Animal Shelter 715 Gas Valley Road, New Cumberland, WV 26047, or your local animal shelter. Guestbook

  1. Ginny Cavalet I am so so sorry for your loss and your families loss. Prayers for you all. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

  2. My love and sincere condolences to the entire family. I loved mom like she was my own and I will miss her forever. I will miss her modeling new clothes for us so that we can see if they fit. I will most definitely miss her stories and just her presence. One of my favorite memories is when she wanted a pumpkin pancake with just a “little” whipped topping, she didn’t put a dent in that pancake, but looked adorable trying.

  3. I am saddened to hear that Ginny passed away. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I met Ginny through Curves many many years ago and quickly became a friend. She truly loved her family and her animals, she will be missed.
