Virginia N. Martin

Virginia N. (Nanna) Martin, 83, of New Cumberland, WV, passed away April 20, 2008, at the Weirton Medical Center. She was born February 7, 1925 in Jefferson Davis County in Mississippi, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Chellie Parrish McInnis. Her sons, Jack and Joseph Martin, daughter Marion Heupp, granddaughter Kathy Heupp, great grandson Cody Heupp, brothers, Bob, Dean, John, and Bully McInnis, and sister Louise McInnis also preceded her in death. Virginia retired from the Weirton Kmart where she worked as a sales clerk with 15 years of service. Virginia was Baptist by faith, a wonderful homemaker, and cherished spending time with her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Oakland Volunteer Fire Dept. Women's auxiliary. She is survived by her sisters, Sue, Frances, Lorraine and Dorothy McInnis; daughter in law, Lois Martin of Colliers, WV; 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St, Weirton, where services will be conducted Wednesday at 11AM with the Rev. Marvin Taylor officiating.
