vivian demarco
Vivian Marie DeMarco, 93, of Weirton, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Carriage Inn of Steubenville. Born March 4, 1923 in Weirton, she was the daughter of the late Mile and Clara (Popish) Rendulich. She was also preceded in death by her husband Joseph A. DeMarco and brother George Rendulich. Vivian graduated from Weir High in 1941. She worked at Weirton Steel as a flopper and crane operator. She also worked at GC Murphy and as a homemaker, taking care of her family. She spent time volunteering at the old Weirton General Hospital, but she got the most enjoyment out of spending time with her family especially Holiday Dinners and events. She was an avid card player and enjoyed playing scrabble and getting together with friends. She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Vivian is survived by her daughter Lori Ann DeMarco of Boulder Colorado; grandchildren Hope Bishop Riggs, Anthony "AJ" Gail and Aislynn Shaffer; great-grandchildren Mckenzie Bruce, Ava McFadden and Amelia Janelle Gail as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 4-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM Thursday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Rev. Father Larry Dorsch will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 140 Walnut Street, Weirton WV, 26062. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Carriage Inn and staff of Steubenville, Wyngate staff and friends, Valley Hospice and Dr. Cherian John and staff. Our father worked with your dad, Joe, in the Tin Mill and our mother’s were tin floppers together. Do you remember when my sisters, Cathy and Janet and I used to visit you during the Christmas holidays? That was such a long time ago, but we often talk about those days and remember them fondly. Our love to you and your children.

  4. Lori & Family, we were sorry to hear that Aunt Vivian passed away. When I was Little kid, (in the 40’s)Aunt Vivian & Uncle Joe spent a lot of time @’our house playing cards.They were always so sweet to me. Those were real happy days. God Bless Aunt Vivian & may she rest in peace.

  5. My fondest condolences to Bill, Lori , Janet and all the grand and great- grand children and their families. I, too,have so many fond memories of Vivian, but am remiss that distance kept us apart since the 70’s. She was always one of my favorite cousins. Sister Bertha and Brother Bob spent almost every weekend with Vivian and family at Grandmother’s during our early years. She was a wonderful person and will be missed. Loren Freshwater, first cousin
