Walter Lee Bailey, of Weirton, passed away, Monday, December 28, 2020, as an in-patient at the Weirton Medical Center; he was 81 years old. He was born October 5, 1939, in Tyler County WV.; he was preceded in death by his parents, Eli and Edna Sellers Bailey, his wife Donna Amelia Manard Bailey, brother Eli (Bud) Bailey, sisters Nellie ( Sally) Spencer, Stella Mae Thomas and son-in-law, Edward Bilderback. Walter had worked for the city of Weirton as a Mechanic, retiring after 20 years of service. He loved the outdoors, and all that nature had to offer. Spending his day's hunting, fishing, and camping all over the tri-state area. He also enjoyed traveling, making several trips with his family throughout his life to Kentucky, North Carolina, and Tennessee, but most recently, his family had made lasting memories through their outdoor adventures at Tappan Lake. A follower of God's word, Walter nourished his faith at the Voice of Pentecost Church in Weirton. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Patricia Builderback of Colliers, sisters Edna Leasure of Weirton, Hazel McHale fo Palm Coast FL., and Mary Suter of Middlebourne WV. Visitation will be 9 AM until the 10 AM service Thursday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV. Rev. Rob Holley will officiate.
