Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I had the pleasure to know Walt for approx.15 years, most of it while working at WSX. He was a dedicated employee and became a good friend. I will remember the softball games that we enjoyed together and would like to offer my deepest respects and condolences to his family. Mark Goddard

  2. Dear Tricia, Jeff, Scott, words could not describe our feelings about the events of the past few months. As you all know Walt was more like a brother to us than a good friend. Thankfully we have many happy memories of Walt and our travels over the years. Due to the possiblity of severe weather in the I 77 corridor we decided it best not to make the trip to Ohio. That doesn’t dimish the greif we share with you at this time. We are fortunate to have had Walt touch our lives. Our very best wishes to you and your families. Dick & Linda Spencer

  3. I will always remember Walt as genuine nice guy and a friend while working with him at WSX for 28 years and also the softball games and the bowling team we enjoyed together. I would like to offer my deepest sympathy to his family. John Szczerbinski

  4. I had the pleasure of meeting Walt through our involvement in Credit Union activities. He served the members, the Board of Directors, and the employees of the Tin Mill in a very professional, yet personal, manner. The Credit Union movement will certainly miss Walt. Judy Wascom, Chairman LA DOTD Federal Credit Union Baton Rouge, LA

  5. Jack (as I knew him) & I were 1st cousins. I last spoke w/Jack at our Uncle Jake Cottrill’s funeral where we sat together & talked at great length. I immediately felt his warmth & compassion and knew Jack was a very caring man in addition to being intelligent & well read. My sincere condolences to his children, siblings & all who loved him.

  6. My name is Fred Forsyth and I am trying to get in touch with with Jack’s family. Jack and I became friends while serving together in the U.S. Navy in the early 1960’s. He also came to visit me twice in Mlddleburg, Florida and once in Jackson, Georgia. We lost contact after his last visit to Florida and I have only found him now, in death. I feel your sorrow at his death, having been a good friend in the past. I know it has been some time since his death but I sincerely hope someone that has contact with his family will see this and make them aware that I would like to contact them.
