Wanda Teresa Tomasovich, 103, of Weirton, passed away Monday, October 8, 2018 in the Weirton Geriatric Center. She was born October 5, 1915 in Lewistown, PA, a daughter of the late Joseph and Valentina Perlowski. She was also preceded in death by her husband Michael on July 4, 1994, grandson Bryan Carey, brothers Joe, Ted, Benny and Zigmund Perlowski and sister Jean Gryskevich. Until she was 62 years old, Wanda worked in the meat department of the former Mickey’s Market. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church and the Ladies Association of Woodview Golf Course. She was an avid bowler at the Holiday Bowling Lanes. She is survived by her sons Stephen Michael (Nancy) Tomasovich of Atlanta, GA and Theodore J. (Beth) Tomasovich of Washougal, WA; daughters Sandra (Kim) Carey of Morgantown, WV, Marcia (Bob) Newbrough and Mishal (Mike) Hawthorne all of Weirton; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 3-7 PM at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Wednesday at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church. The Reverend Father Anthony G. Thurston will officiate. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 200 Preston Avenue, Weirton, WV 26062.
