William Pendergrast

William Pendergrast, 79, of Weirton passed away December 30, 2006 at the Weirton Medical Center. He was born May 3, 1927 in Union, SC the son of the late Henry and Sillar Jeter Pendergrast. His wife Jeanette Colliers Pendergrast and his brother Robert Pendergrast also preceded him in death. William retired from the City of Weirton Sanitation Department. He is survived by five sons, Anthony Smith of Denver Colorado, David and William Pendergrast both of Weirton, Raymond Young of Spartanburg, SC, Charles Richards, of Union, SC; four daughters Barbara Washington of Weirton, Anita Smith McBride of Hinton, WV, Del Young Floyd of Queens, NY, and Lousie Epp of Pensacola, FL; several loving grandchildren; brothers Hugh, James, Henry of Weirton, Paul of Canton, OH and Richard of Union, SC; sisters Dorothy Lee, Lucille Colliers, Anna Mae Spencer all of Weirton, Mabel Stevenson and Hazel Dawkin both of Union, SC. Visitation will be Tuesday January 2, 2007 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St, Weirton, WV where services will be held Wednesday January 3, 2007 at 11:00AM in the funeral home.
