William Ray Brown

William Ray Brown of Wellsburg passed away at his residence after a brief illness on Thursday, December 9, 2021. He was 69 years old. Born on May 30, 1952, in Steubenville, he was the son of the late Wilmer and Edith Rector, Brown. William was a 1970 graduate of Brooke High School and was a retired laborer from the Weirton Steel Corporation. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his brother Michael “Mike” Brown. William will be remembered fondly by his son Richard Brown, daughter Sherry Brown, sister Karen (Joe) LeMantia, all of Weirton, grandchildren Melanie Westlake, Johnna Jones, Nevaeh Brown, his five great-grandchildren, and his faithful companion Courage, who lived with him for two years.
