William S. Przybysz, 78, of Weirton, died Wednesday at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 14, 1922 in Weirton, WV, the son of the late John and Catherine Ciesek Przybysz. He was also preceded in death by an infant brother and seven sisters, Sophie Yurko, Veronica Konicki, Viola Rzepka, Ann Yeager, Lillian Busatti and two that were infants. Bill served his country as a bombardier in the United States Airforce in World War II, He retired as an Operator on the cleaning lines in the Weirton Steel Tin Mill after 36 years. He was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Church; 4th degree assembly of the K of C; Weirton Steel 25 year club; American Legion Post 10; VFW 2716; Moose lodge 688. He is survived by his wife, Alma Petrak Przybysz whom he married on September 17, 1946; four sons; Bill Przybysz and his wife Rose of Newport News, VA; Dr. John Przybysz and his wife Lauri of Severna Park, MD; Dr. Tom Przybysz and his wife Kathy of Wheeling, WV; Frank Przybysz and his wife Kerry of Wheeling, WV; three daughters, Carole Smay and her husband Jeff of Weirton; Cathie Caranda and her husband Mark of Weirton; Mary Kobily and her husband Steve of Carnegie, PA; 28 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. Visitations will be from 1-3 & 7-9 PM Thursday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street in Weirton, WV Knights of Columbus Rosary will be recited 7PM Thursday in the funeral home. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Friday at the Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Weirton. Entombment in the Saint Paul Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to the Valley Hospice 380 Summit Avenue Steubenville, OH 43952 or the Saint Joseph the Worker Memorial Fund or the Weirton Madonna High School.
