Winifred Parks, 90, of Weirton, died Tuesday, February 17, 2004 at the Trinity Medical Center West. Born January 4, 1914 in Roscoe, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Elmer and Catherine (Hurton) Brewer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Parks on October 28, 1986, son Lt. Commander Richard E. Parks, brothers Earl, Paul, Howard and Charles Brewer and sister Evelyn Callery. Winifred was a homemaker,a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Weirton, Weirton Chapter 147 Order of the Eastern Star, AARP and Three Score Seniors. Winifred’s survivors include her daughters Patty (Charles) Granato of Weirton and Wilma Pugh of Chester; her brother Clyde Brewer of Miami, FL; her sister Lavonna (Jimmy) Milchovich of Roscoe, PA; grandchildren Richard (Beverly) Parks, Suzanne Parks, Steven (Sandy) Parks, Kenneth (Nancy) Pugh, Natalie (John) Geyer and Michael Granato; great-grandchildren Richard, Madeline, Douglas and Cara Parks, Richard and Jessica Pugh and Brianna Geyer. Friends will be received Thursday from 7:00–9:00PM and Friday from 2:00-4:00PM and 7:00–9:00PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday with Reverend Patty Bucey Beagle presiding.
