Wyletta Laverne Willoughby, of Colliers, WV, a loving mother grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Monday, December 6, 2021, with her family at her side. She was 89. On April 7, 1932, Wyletta was born in Kodal, WV, the first of nine children born to Philip Glenn and Maude Bellard Williams. At the age of 15 she married Carl B. Guseman, and the young couple moved to the Weirton Area for employment. Carl worked in the tin mill of Weirton Steel a division of National Steel and Wyletta took care of their home. In their marriage they were blessed with seven children and several grandchildren. On January 30, 1982, Wyletta married Daniel K. Willoughby. They enjoyed many years together and were able to tour the United States as they drove for JB Hunt Trucking. In her free time, Wyletta enjoyed crocheting, and quilting. She taught her family how to cook, along with crocheting and quilting but most importantly, she taught them how to be strong and independent. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Daniel K. Willoughby in 2003; her daughter, Wyletta “Anita” Tennant; the father of her children, Carl B. Gruseman; her brothers, Loring and Sherle Williams and her sister Carol Grimm. Wyletta is survived by her sons, Carl David (Suzanne) Guseman and Terry Lee (Cathy Seckman) Guseman; daughters Sheila Denise McClain, Gretchen (Terry) Baker, Belinda Faye Gayle “Rick” Harris and Robin Rene (Rusty) Leek; brothers Charles and James Williams; sisters Mary Ann Dolby, Carren Barnhart and Ruth Fancher; several grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great -grandchildren. A private inurnment will be in St. Johns Cemetery Haven of Rest in Colliers, WV.
