Jean M. Kaplun

Jeanette “Jean” M. Kaplun, 86, of New Cumberland, WV, formerly of Weirton, WV, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017, at Weirton Geriatric Center. Born in her family’s home in Weirton, WV, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Julia Makeszewski Kaplun. She is also preceded in death by her brothers Robert and John Kaplun. After 20 years of service, Jean retired from Weirton Steel Corporation as a secretary at the general offices. Prior to Weirton Steel, she worked as a telephone operator at Bell Telephone. She is survived by her sisters Stella Blanchard of Senacaville, OH, Carolyn Baker and Theresa Wagner, both of Weirton, and Irene Mesler of New Cumberland, WV.
