Weirton, WV
Aaron Eugene “Goose” Richter, 66, of Weirton, passed away on June 6, 2025, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born on April 3, 1959, he was the son of the late Elsie Irene Richter.
A graduate of Burgettstown High School, Aaron went on to dedicate his life to the construction industry, with a focus on residential projects. His craftsmanship and strong work ethic made him a respected figure in the field and a trusted hand in the homes he helped build.
Known for his generous heart, Aaron was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back. A self-taught musician, he had a deep love for music With a heart of gold and a gift for making others smile, Aaron was always quick with a joke, a laugh, or a mischievous grin. His ornery charm and warm nature brought comfort and joy to everyone who knew him. He cared deeply for others and lived a life of quiet compassion and resilience. Aaron’s presence was a comforting one—never boastful, but always dependable, always kind.
In addition to his mother, Aaron was preceded in death by his sister, Angeline Long, who passed away on September 17, 2021.
His legacy of love, laughter, and hard work ethic will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to call him a friend, a brother, nephew or simply “Goose” including his aunt and uncle Marcia and Leroy Richter.
Aaron will be cremated at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home without any public services.
