Abigail Danielle “Abby” Rice, 27, of Paris, PA, passed away unexpectedly while at work on Saturday, April 4, 2026.
Born on November 16, 1998, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Abby was the daughter of Kevin Rice of Erlanger Kentucky and Mischele Fisher Rice Verelst with whom she resided.
From a young age, she brought light and love wherever she went. Abby had the natural talent of using her beautiful voice and soul to bring joy to all. While either singing, laughing, playing or enjoying her favorite past-time teaching and playing games with her nieces and nephews.
Abby will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and kind heart. Often described as bubbly, cheerful, loving, giving, and full of life. Abby had a love for reading, especially fiction and fantasy. But what she enjoyed most were the simple pleasures of life, such as long drives, sleeping and peaceful nature walks, with friends and family. Abby also had a passion for beauty, finding joy in experimenting with makeup and hair.
Abby attended St Dominic Elementary School in Cincinnati though the fifth grade, 6th grade she attended Central Middle School then Glenwood Middle School in Findlay OH, graduating from Findlay High School in 2017.
Her work ethic and determination were evident throughout her life. Abby began her career in the restaurant industry in Findlay, where she worked at several establishments, including Taco Bell, where she became a manager at just 18 years old. Most recently, Abby worked in wireless sales with O.S.L. Cellular inside Walmart, where she quickly distinguished herself as one of the top sellers in the district.
Abby is survived by mother and stepfather, Mischele and Bill Verelst, Jr.; her father, Kevin Rice; her brothers, Justin Fisher (Joanne Wethington), Eric (Megan) Rice; Hayden Rice, and her adopted sister, Emily (Jeremiah Taylor) Rabinowitz, nieces and nephews, Cali, Jasper, Cassius, and Aethelwulf Rice, Novalee Marie Wethington, Hazel Rabinowitz, and Harper Taylor.
Abby’s life will be celebrated and remembered with a visitation from 2-4 PM Sunday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV.
In lieu of flowers, please considering making a donation in Abby’s memory to your local animal shelter.
Her life will also be remembered in separate memorial services in both Cincinnati and Findlay later this month.
