Alberta May Polewac

Alberta May Polewac, 83, of New Cumberland, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2008 in the Trinity Medical Center West. Born October 30, 1924 in Cameron, WV, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Brucie Greathouse Chambers. Alberta was also preceded in death by her husband Stanley on January 2, 1988 and brother Wilbert Chambers. Mrs. Polewac was a homemaker and Methodist by faith. She was an avid reader and seamstress. She enjoyed watching television but, most of all, enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Alberta is survived by her son Robert Polewac; daughter Roberta Burnett and her husband Harry all of New Cumberland, WV; grandchildren Todd Burnett and his wife Shelly and Veronica Sloss and her husband Ray and 2 great-grandchildren Brock and Eva Burnett. Friends will be received Sunday 1-3 and 6-8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where funeral services will be celebrated 10:30AM Monday. Pastor Mike Campbell will officiate. Entombment will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
