
Alberta Miller Chilcote
February 26, 1930 ~ April 17, 2022
Alberta Miller Chilcote, of Weirton, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on Easter Sunday at her home. Her daughter was at her side. She was 92.
Alberta was born on February 26, 1930, in Irwin, PA, one of eleven children born to William and Sarah Miller Griffith.
On March 30, 1952, Alberta married Korean War veteran, Lester K. Chilcote. In their 63 years of marriage, they were blessed with two children, five grandchildren and eventually nine great-grandchildren, and one on the way.
Lester worked as an electrical foreman for Weirton Steel and Alberta took care of the home. She also worked outside the home for 12 -15 years at Williams Country Club.
Alberta nourished her faith at the First United Methodist Church in Weirton.
Sadly, in addition to her parents, Alberta was preceded in death by her husband Lester, her grandson, Marty Marlin, and all her siblings.
She will be remembered with love by her son, Kenneth Albert Chilcote and his wife P.J.; her daughter, Charlene Lilly; her four grandchildren, Melissa McCombs, Michael Chilcote (Tanja), Danny Holmes (Laura), and Guido Magnone (Marygift Noche- Magnone); nine great grandchildren and one on the way.
There will not be any public services.

I will always remember you Grandma you were an amazing loving woman. I remember you said “This might be the last time I see you” when I left for Japan. The tears are still rolling down my cheek remembering that what you said. I hope that God watches over you and Pap Pap up in heaven. I love you so much
