Alfred Paul Onori, 90, of Weirton, died Saturday, February 16, 2002 at the Weirton Medical Center. He was born August 12, 1911, in Rome Italy, the son of the late Amedeo and Benedetta Canestrari. Three brothers, Dan, Joe, and Emil Onori and a sister Alvina Magrini also preceded him. Alfred retired from the Weirton Steel Tin Mill where he worked as a foreman. He had forty years of service with the company. He was a member of the 25-year club of Weirton Steel, the Weirton Knights of Columbus #3734, and AARP. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Weirton. He is survived by his wife Natalie Lettieri Onori of Weirton; a daughter Ann Endry and her husband Joseph of Westerville, Ohio; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 2-4 & 7-9PM, with a prayer service at 3:30PM, and a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7:00PM, at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton. Services will be held Wednesday at 11:00AM in the funeral home. Entombment will be at St. Paul’s cemetery mausoleum, Weirton.
