Aline Keenan, 89, of Weirton, a warm, outgoing and loving wife, mother, and granny, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 29, 2020. Born on October 26, 1930, in Steubenville, OH, Aline was one of nine children born to Thomas and Mabel Ferguson McNeil. In addition to her parents, Aline was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Audrey Keenan; brothers, Thomas, Charles, David, and Robert McNeil; her sisters, Agnes Vujanovich and Margaret McNeil. Aline grew up in Steubenville, OH, and graduated from Steubenville High School. After high school, she worked in the offices of the Weirton Salvation Army. This is where she met her husband, Jesse. On April 22, 1955, they were married. With over 65 years of marriage, Jesse and Aline were blessed with two children, three grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Through the years, her husband, Rev. Jesse Keenan, pastored eight Nazarene churches. Six in WV and two in Pennsylvania. Aline was at his side at each assignment. She was very involved in the church missions and served as a Missionary President. In her free time, she enjoyed making plastic canvas, and one year a Christmas village out of the plastic canvas. She also loved to bake cookies and pepperoni rolls for her family and friends. Most of all Aline will be remembered for her happy and outgoing nature, her warm heart, and never meeting a stranger. She was a member of the Follansbee First Church of the Nazarene. She will be remembered with love by her husband, Rev. Jesse Lloyal Keenan; her son, George (Delores) Keenan; her son in law, Tim Marty; her brothers, Howard and William McNeil; her grandchildren, Jesse and Kenneth (Amanda) Moore and Kimberly( Eric) Holbrook; nine great-grandchildren; and countless others who considered her their granny. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Wednesday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV Additional visitation will be 10 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Follansbee First Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Larry Barkley will preside.
