Amedeo Guglielmo

Amedeo Guglielmo, 82, of Weirton, died Thursday, August 1, 2002, at The Inn at Wyngate. He was born January 18, 1920 in Calabria, Italy, the son of the late Serafino Guglielmo and Angela Conforti Guglielmo. He was also preceded in death by a son, Ronald and his brother, Felice.
Amedeo is survived by his wife Alvera Reda Guglielmo, whom he married on January 6, 1942; three daughters, Elizabeth Beecroft and her husband Tom, Mary Ann Ebert and her husband Mike of Follansbee and Diana Mikula and her husband Joe of Weirton; his grandchildren Tonya and Tim Smeal, Ken and Jessica Guglielmo, Sean and Brittany Beecroft, Tara and Cory Ferguson, Kelli and Chad Cantor, Tina and Augie Gatto, Michelle and Marci Ebert; 4 great-grandchildren; and sister Giovanna Bruno of Cannonsburg, PA.
Amedeo was a retired mechanic from Starvaggi Industries and was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. He was a World War II Army veteran and was a member of the American Legion Post #10, Italian Sons and Daughters of America, Sons of Italy and the Four Seasons.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton.

We are so sorry to hear about your father. He and your mom have always been such good and generous neighbors to my parents. Our prayers and sympathy are with you. It’s been a very tough month for all of us.
