Andrew Goresh

Andrew Goresh, 77 of Burgettstown, Pa. died Wednesday, February 6, 2002 at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born March 28, 1924 in Hammondsville, Ohio, the son of the late Theodore and Bessie Stock Goresh. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Phyllis Birlirakis Goresh, one brother John Goresh, and four sisters, Olga Kruel, Evelyn Goresh, Anna Bobalick and Mary Savchak.
Andrew retired from the Weirton Steel Co. where he worked in the Tin Mill as a craneman, and had 40 years of service. He was a WWII veteran in the US Air Force, and a member of the 384th Bomb Group. He is a member of the VFW #2716 of Weirton, the Weirton Steel 25-year club, and a member of the Free Methodist Church, Weirton.
His wife Lois Barkhurst Goresh of Burgettstown, Pa, survives him. He is also survived by two sons, Andrew C. Goresh and his wife Pamela of Ellicott City, MD and David T. Goresh of Atlanta, GA; One daughter, Barbara Coalter and her husband Dan of Springfield, OH; One Step Son Timothy Finch and his wife Brenda of Burgettstown, Pa.; One Step Daughter Cindi Richards and her husband Bob of Weirton; One brother, Frank Goresh of Wintersville, OH; One sister, Helen Sheposh of Weirton, WV; Seven Grandchildren, Samantha, Alexandra, Amadea, Bryan, Jennifer Goresh and Derek and Kristin Coalter; Step Grandchildren, Robert Richards, Dr. Steve Richards and his wife Misty, Jennifer Freeman and her husband Garland, Jon Finch and his wife Mandy; Step Great Grandchildren, Tyler and Austin Freeman, Collin Finch, and Christian Richards,
Visitation will be Thursday, February 7, 2002 from 7-9 PM and Friday, February 8 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV, where Pastor Don Lytle will conduct funeral services on Saturday, February 9 at 11:00 AM.
Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Greek Section with Military Graveside Services by the Weirton American Legion Post 10 Honor Guard, VFW Firing Squad, and the Tri-State Marine Corps.
