Andrew Gulasi

Andrew Gulasi, 91, of Weirton, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2012 at his home. Born May 10, 1920 in McDonald, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Kondik Gulasi. He was also preceded in death by his wife Ruby Starr Gulasi who died December 22, 1991, brothers George, Joe and Steve Gulasi and sisters Mary and Ann.
With 42 years of service, Mr. Gulasi retired from Weirton Steel where he worked as a rigger in the Steel Works Department. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church and the Weirton Steel 25-Year Club. He served in the United States Army during World War II.
Mr. Gulasi is survived by his daughters Sheila Robinson and her husband Virgil, Sandy Haspel and her husband Fred all of Weirton and Andrea Gulasi of Cape Coral, FL; brother Michael Gulasi of Anaheim, CA, grandchildren Brian and Rachelle Robinson and Stephanie and Jamie Haspel and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10:30AM Thursday at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Father Dean Borgmeyer officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.
I am sorry to hear of your father’s passing. I remember him as a smart, kind, and funny man. I know that you girls have those qualities too and must have gotten them from him. May your memories bring you comfort. Please know that you are in my thoughts.
