Andrew J. "Dutch" Babinchak

Andrew "Dutch" John Babinchak, 82, of Weirton died Wednesday January 28, 2015, in the Weirton Geriatric Center.
Born on February 2, 1932, in Weirton, WV, Andrew was a son of the late Michael and Elizabeth Reba Babinchak. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Virginia (Foley) DeLawder Babinchak on November 18, 2003
An Army Veteran of the Korean War, Dutch retired from Weirton Steel and from Weir Cove Moving and Storage, where he was a dispatcher.
Dutch enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns on TV, and will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor.
Dutch is survived by his loving daughter, Michele "Mitch" Kopa and her husband Michael of Weirton; his two brothers, Michael and George Babinchak both of Weirton, WV; his sister, Mary Sisinni of Follansbee, WV; his 3 grandsons, Keith (Carrie) Patrick, Ron (fiance Danielle) Patrick and Philip Kopa; and his great grandchildren, Skyler, Jayna, Blaze, Josh and Taylor.
Dutch's wishes were to have his body cremated by Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV.
There will be no visitation.
Inurnment will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
His family would like to thank the Loving Staff of the Weirton Geriatric Center for all the care they provided to Dutch while he was in their care.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Weirton Geriatric Center Resident's Fund Account 2525 Pennsylvania Avenue Weirton, WV 26062.
