andrew bubrik
Andrew M. Bubrik, 79, of Weirton, died Friday January 18, 2002 at the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born December 29, 1922, In McKeesport, Pa. the son of the late Andrew and Mary Hadvab Bubrik. Three brothers, John, George, and Michael Bubrik also preceded him. Andrew retired from Weirton Steel Company where he worked for 30 years. He was an operator in the Tin Mill Electrolytic lines. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Weirton. A member of the Knights of Columbus, AARP, and the Weirton Steel 25-year club. Andrew was a US Army WWII veteran. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Babinchak Bubrik of Weirton, two daughters, Patty Peckins and her husband Bernie of Wintersville, Ohio, Sharon Garbin and her husband Tom of Pittsburgh, Pa. He has five grandchildren, Christina LaPosta and her fiancé Thomas Fisher of Charlotte, NC, Christopher and Eddie LaPosta of Wintersville, OH, and Tom and Ryan Garbin of Pittsburgh. He has two step-grandchildren Jennifer Hritz and Kurt Peckins of Steubenville, Ohio. Several nieces and nephews also survive him. Visitation will be Monday, January 21, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton, where a prayer service will be held at 3:30PM. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be held Tuesday at 10:00AM, at St. Joseph the Worker Church, Weirton. Entombment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery Mausoleum, Weirton.
