Ann C. Bastia, 84, of Weirton died May 11, 2001 at Weirton MedicalCenter She was born on May 13, 1916, in Waterloo, Iowa, a daughter of the late Joseph Jack and Mary Balin Jack Dopudja Yannick. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Bastia in 1989, 5 brothers: John, Pete and Nick Jack, and Michael and Marko Dopudja, 3 sisters: Helen Barach, Mildred Mueller, and Mariann Ferry. Ann was a homemaker, a member of Holy Resurrection Serbian Church and Croation Lodge #595. She is survived by 3 brothers: Metro Dopudja of Santa Fe Springs, CA, Bronko Dopudja of Chester, WV and Duke Dopudja of LaMirada, CA and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 1-3 and 7-9 PM Sunday at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Pomen services will 8:00 PM in the funeral home. Funeral services will be Monday 12:00 Noon at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Resurrection Building Fund or Holy Resurrection Church, 528 N. 4th Street, Steubenville, OH 43952. We would giggle and laugh as she told me one story after another. She was full of life and joy. That’s what drew so many people to her. She was beautiful inside and out.
