Ann Elizabeth Harcarik

Ann Elizabeth Harcarik, 89, of Weirton, passed away Friday, June 24, 2005 at Heritage Place in Weirton. Born June 1, 1916 in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Maryann (Sliwa) Dziatkowicz. Ann was also preceded in death by her husband Steve J. Harcarik in 1976; brothers Walter, who was killed in World War II, and Joseph Dziatkowicz and sisters Bernice Dziatkowicz, Rose Hurtuk and infant sister Angela Dziatkowicz. After 40 years of service, Ann retired from the G.C. Murphy Company where she worked as a bookkeeper. She was a member of the Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church. Ann’s survivors include her sisters Frances Lakatos of Chicago, IL and Josephine Kasper of New Jersey; sister-in-law Margaret “Marge” Dziatkowicz of Weirton; nieces and nephews Stan Kasper and Andrew Kasper (Loralie) all of New Jersey, Joe Dziatkowicz, Peg Thomaselli (Bob), Maureen Kerr (Douglas), Mike Dziatkowicz (Nikki), Celeste Dziatkowicz, Rick Dziatkowicz, George Dziatkowicz (Cheryl), Mark Dziatkowicz (Cathy), Bill Dziatkowicz (Prudy) all of Weirton; Bob Hurtuk and Greg Hurtuk both of Chicago, IL. She also leaves many great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday 1-3 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where a wake service will be held at 8:30PM. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10AM Monday at the Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church with interment in St. Paul Cemetery.
