Ann Kasprzak
October 8, 1929 ~ February 9, 2013
Ann Mankowski Kasprzak, 83, of Weirton, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the Weirton Medical Center. Born October 8, 1929 in Steubenville, OH, Ann was a daughter of the late Adam and Bernice Marcziewska Mankowski. Ann was also preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Kasprzak in 1965; brothers, Frank, Stanley, Tony, John, and Edward Mankowski; and sisters, Laura Bernice Rosiak, Ida Bilkowski, and Mary Kowalik.
Mrs. Kasprzak was a dedicated homemaker and a former employee of the WSX Tin Mill, Anile Stateline Pharmacy, and Rite Aid. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Rosary Society, and the T. Kosciusko Society.
Mrs. Kasprzak is survived by her son, Bob Kasprzak (Joy) of Weirton; daughters, Mary Ann Eckels (Duncan) of Weirton and Patty Flanigan (Keith) of New Cumberland; brothers, Joseph and Walter Mankowski of Weirton; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and a host of friends.
Mrs. Kasprzak's family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Khurana and Dr. Bhandari and to all the nurses and staff on the fifth floor of Weirton Medical Center for the exceptional care given to their mother by all of them.
Friends will be received Monday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM Tuesday at Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Father Tony Thurston as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery.

Mary Ann & family; I have many fond memories of your mother. She is resting now in the arms of the Lord. My prayers go out for the happy repose of her soul.

Although I have not lived in the area for 30+ years, I immediately recognized that smiling face from her days at Anile Pharmacy. Ann was a friendly, smiling, welcoming presence there.
