Anna B. Evancho

Anna B. Evancho, 85 of Weirton, died Monday January 28, 2002 at the Barb Hatch Personal Care Home. She was born on May 22, 1916 in Czechoslovakia, the daughter of the late Mike and Barbara Mihalchik Hrin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Evancho on January 26, 1983; her two brothers, John and Mike Hrin and her sister, Mary Paul. Anna was a member of Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church, and a member of the Altar Society. She was a homemaker, where she enjoyed gardening and crocheting. Surviving, include her son, John Evancho and her daughter Mary Thomas and her husband Richard all of Weirton. She is also survived by her sister Helen Gilbert and her husband, James of Tryon, NC; her grandchildren, Dr. Richard Thomas of Pittsburgh, PA; David Evancho and Michael T. Evancho and his wife Jennifer all of Ashland City, TN; Kristen Fullum and her husband Eric of Columbiana, OH; her nieces, Mary Ella Dorsey of Burgettstown, PA, Jackie Bartell and Annie Tyler both of Spartinsburg, SC; her nephews, George Paul, Jr. of Weirton, WV; Thomas Paul of Wintersville, OH and C. Michael Lemley of New Cumberland, WV; her great grandchildren, Presley Fullum, Christopher Evancho and Zach Jett. Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 PM Wednesday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 1:30 PM Thursday at Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weirton Interment will be in Saint Paul Cemetery, Weirton.
