Born on October 20, 1957, in Steubenville, OH, Anne Marie was one of six children born to George M. and Beverly J. Giebell Lacik.
Anne Marie graduated from Weir High School in 1975 and continued her education at the West Virginia Northern Community College where she received her associate degree. On August 14, 1980, she married Michael White, and together they were blessed with three children. Sadly, they also experienced the heartbreaking loss of their infant son.
Known for her sweet nature, Anne Marie had a compassionate heart and a genuine love for children. Her strong will and determination were evident in all aspects of her life. Anne Marie worked diligently at T.V. Cable and Office Supply, as well as serving as a crossing guard for the City of Weirton.
She had a passion for music and found joy in singing. Whether it was in church, serenading her daughter to sleep, or singing with her husband in the car, her melodious voice brought comfort to those around her. In her high school days, she showcased her talent as a versatile musician, playing various instruments such as the clarinet, xylophone, flute, and drums. Among her favorite bands was Chicago, whose music resonated with her soul.
Anne Marie’s faith was an integral part of her life, and she was a lifelong member of Saint Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, where she was actively involved in the Altar and Rosary Society.
She previously dedicated her time as a member of the Weirton Heights and Weir Middle Schools PTA, as well as the Weir Swim Boosters, demonstrating her commitment to her children’s education and extracurricular activities.
In addition to her infant son, Anne Marie was preceded in death by her parents, George and Beverly; her brother, Gabriel Lacik; and her two sisters, Michelle Marie Lemasters and Seraphim Lacik.
Anne Marie’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her unwavering love for her children, her musical talents, and her dedication to her community will be cherished and remembered by her husband, Mike; her son, Michael; her daughter, Abby; her brother, Michael Lacik; her sister, Terri (David) Livingston; and her beloved nieces and nephews.

I knew Anne when I worked at Weir Middle School. She worked hard for the benefit of the students. She spent many hours working on various projects. She was always in a good mood and was willing to do anything that needed done. She had a kind heart and will be dearly missed. May she Rest in Peace. I’ll keep the family in my prayers.
What a wonderful woman Anne was. I remember the day I met her at Weirton Heights. It was one of my first days as principal and Anne let me know who was boss. She was fun, caring and full of life. She was so supportive of our school and of me as the principal. She loved her family and loved Weirton and the children. She had a heart of gold. I made a good friend that first day. Anne will be missed. Mike and children, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
What fond memories I have of Anne Marie from our youth in Weirton, all things St. Mary’s Byzantine and North Tenth Street. In the final decade of “The Life of Christ” Passion Play, her role was that of the Blessed Mother, Mary.
I can only imagine the void in the life of her family by her passing. I offer my heartfelt prayers and deep sympathy as you grieve this tremendous loss. Love and prayers, Stan Tuchalski – Kissimmee, FL
