Anthony “Tony” DeCaria, 75, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away in comfort and at peace after a brief battle with lymphoma on Friday, October 16, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Steubenville, OH on July 16, 1951, Tony was a devoted husband, father, Nonno, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Lynn Colabrese; his children, Dan (Bridget) and Maria Jordan (Noah); his grandchildren, Mia, Rosie, Sam, Henry, and Lily; his brothers, Frank and Vince (Marsha); and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fortunato and Virginia DeCaria, and his twin sister, Theresa DeCaria.

Tony was a kind, patient, and gentle man who found his greatest happiness in the simple joys of life, especially time spent with family. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he was a constant source of love, encouragement, and quiet wisdom. He cherished family gatherings, holidays, traditions, and took particular joy in watching his children and grandchildren grow.

A lifelong learner with a remarkable intellect and curiosity, Tony earned two master’s degrees and enjoyed a career in software engineering. His interests ranged from science and history to mythology and music, and he especially loved playing the guitar. Despite his many talents and accomplishments, he remained humble, easygoing, and quick to laugh. Guided by his belief that happiness comes from appreciating what you have and showing kindness to others, Tony leaves a lasting legacy of love, gratitude, and his familiar parting words, “Keep Smilin’.”
