Anthony "Tony" Joseph Vocco

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Anthony “Tony” Joseph Vocco, a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left us on March 6, 2026, at the age of 65. Born on September 18, 1960, in Rochester, NY, he was a son of Sophie Margaret and the late Robert Dominic Vocco, Sr. Raised in Rochester, NY, Tony was a proud graduate of Gates Chili High School. He spent several years of his adult life working in the maintenance department at the University of Rochester, where he was known for his strong work ethic and friendly demeanor.

Tony later moved to Freedom Place in Weirton, WV, and soon became a friend to many. His sense of humor and infectious smile brought joy and laughter to his neighbors.

He is survived by his loving family: his devoted mother, Sophie Margaret Vocco; daughters, Jennifer (Robert) Gutzmer and Melissa (Will) Kelly; grandchildren, Justin, Tyler, Jason, and Matthew; brothers, Robert (Joanne), David (Ashley), Michael, and James (Adele) Vocco; along with several nieces and nephews.

Tony will be cremated with no formal services scheduled at this time. His cremation will be under the care of the onsite crematory at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton.
