Millie was an amazing lady that lived at Freedom Place. Amazing to watch her come out of her shell! She always had a smile and a soft hi! Remember one Christmas–the management acted as servers for our annual Christmas dinner that the owner held for us. The natives were restless and didn’t want to keep the narrow hall open so we could get the meals out to the shut ins . I was trying my best and getting frustrated! Out of no here, I see Millie—quiet and looking very festive. So I yelled “Millie, you are in charge. We have to keep the hall cleared to deliver meals. ” Suddenly a new side of very quiet Millie appeared! She had them organized and we were able to deliver and then allow everyone in for the dinner. After that point every time I saw her I always said, “Millie you are in charge”, and we would just laugh! God called a very special angel home—rest peacefully Millie. It was a privilege to get to know you. Love, Lin
