B. Ruth Collins

B. Ruth Collins 82 of Weirton, died Wednesday, June 12, 2002, at the Valley Haven Geriatric Center in Beech Bottom, WV. She was born March 2, 1920, in Weirton, the daughter of the late William and Bessie Faye Smith Haney. Her husband Jennings Hayes Collins and a great grandson Benjamin Koch also preceded her in death. Ruth was a homemaker and a member of the Weirton Heights Memorial Baptist Church, AARP, the Freedom Place II Tenants Club, and the Star of the Valley Rebekahs Lodge #73. She is survived by one son Terry Collins and his wife Susan of Canton, Georgia, two daughters, Barbara Martin of Weirton, and Linda Rockwell and her husband Harry of Colliers, WV. Ruth has one sister Kathleen LeMaster of South Carolina. She has nine grandchildren, Vickie, William and Brian Martin, Michael Petrosky, Robbin McConnell, Thomas Kazienko, Laura Phillips, Melissa Koch and Christan Puckett, and 11 great grandchildren, Cory and Amber Martin, Hannah and Chet Phillips Jr., Max and Will Koch, Zac Ohler, Michael and Matthew Petrosky , Jonathon Kazienko, and Justin Sponaugle. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton, where services will be held Friday, at 10:00AM.
