Bertha B. Anderson

Bertha B. Anderson, 82, of Weirton, died Friday, November 8, 2002 at the Weirton Medical Center. She was born on August 15, 1920 in Middlebourne, WV, a daughter of the late Ray Anderson and Gladys (Sterns) Wells. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Ruth A. Murray Hayhurst; one brother, Burnell Wells; one sister, Zelma Shreves; and two grandchildren.
Bertha was a homemaker and a member of the Northside Church of God in Weirton. Her great love was teaching Sunday school at the church.
Bertha is survived by her husband, George T. Anderson of Weirton; two sons, Thomas L. Murray and his wife Debbie of Cameron, WV, and Roy M. Wells of Middlebourne, WV; five daughters, A. Jean Murray, Lynda M. Murray, Sharon Murray Boyd and her husband James, Rebecka Wells Gregson and her husband Thomas, and Beatrice Ann Wells Workman, all of Weirton; two brothers, Denzil Wells of Moundsville, WV, and Donald Wells of Paden City, WV; two sisters, Daisy Kellar and Pauline Windland and her husband Luther, all of Moundsville, WV; 22 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 7-9 PM Sunday and 2-4 and 7-9 PM Monday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday. Pastor Curtis Moser will preside. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton.
