Bertha Lorraine (Crago) Blake, 75, of Weirton passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville. Born July 16, 1942 at home in New Cumberland she was a daughter of the late Randolph and Pauline (Lang) Crago. She was also preceded in death by her two sons Michael and Edward Blankenship; brothers Larry and Sonny Crago and sisters Catherine Crago and Betsy Crago Rector. Bertha worked as a homemaker taking care of her children. She was a jack of all trades and a great cook. Bertha came up with the idea of weekend bingo nights at Freedom Place where she would cook food for everyone and enjoy games of bingo for prizes. She was a member of the Weirton Moose Lodge 688 and V.F.W. 2716 and the DAV. She is survived by her daughter Rebecca “Becky” Blake Reese and her husband Mark Reese of Weirton; son’s Thomas Blankenship of Wheeling, William Blankenship of Weirton and Charles “Chucky” Blake of Weirton; grandchildren Heather Blankenship, William Blankenship Jr., Chelsee Blake, Jessica Reese, Charles Blake III and Calvin Blake; 4 great-grandchildren and sisters Babe Crago Holland and Joyce Crago Little.
