Betty Louise Summers, 92, of Weirton, W.Va, passed away at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 19, 2022, in the Weirton Medical Center.
Born on November 18, 1929, in Anderson Indiana, Betty was the daughter of Mary Wells Roush Haynes and George Roush of New Cumberland, W.Va.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Georgia Burdette and son John “JB” Burdette, and her late husbands Carl “Jr.” Summers and Harold W. Lacy.
Betty enjoyed spoiling her dogs, hunting, and fishing, making ceramics, and decorating for the holidays. Her love for shopping included retail stores to flea markets and garage sales.
She is survived by her sons, Denver P. Burdette, Jr. of Steubenville, James L. Fox of Wintersville; daughters, Mary Burdette Becker of Weirton, Kathleen Burdette Kuschel of Clayton, NC and a niece Dianna Calandros of Steubenville. Betty has 9 grandchildren, 3 deceased grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 16 great- great grandchildren.
At Betty’s request no formal services will be held.
