Lacik, Beverly J., 69, of Weirton, WV passed away Friday, September 5, 2008 at the Weirton Medical Center. Born January 11, 1939 in Parkersburg, WV she was the daughter of the late Frank Walter and Ada (Peaches) Giebell. She was also preceded in death by two infants, Gabriel and Seraphim, born prematurely some 30 years ago. Beverly was a devoted member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, and until her illness directed the church choir, coordinated the children' religious formation classes and various other children's activities. She was involved with Cub Scouts, serving as a den mother for many years. Beverly retired from the Weirton Medical Center as an administrative assistant with many year of service. In addition to her church activities, Beverly was a member of the Mu Master chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, looked forward to social activities with many of her friends and classmates of the Weir High class of 1957, and playing cards with her card club. Beverly was a loving mother and grandmother taking great pride in the growth of the children and grandchildren. She was loved by, and fortunate to have many, many friends who willingly gave their time to sit with and comfort her during her illness. Beverly is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 52 years George Lacik, three daughters, Anne Marie White and her husband Mike, Michele Lemasters and her husband Kenny, all of Weirton; Terri Livingston and her husband David of Bridgeport, WV; and a son Michael and his wife Kristen of Chesapeake, VA. She leaves behind ten grandchildren; Michael and Abby White, Kasey, Garrett and Kelly Lemasters, Carrie Livingston-Bowen and her husband Hank, DJ and Shane Livingston, Michael and Samantha Lacik, a sister Mary Jane (Paul) Pozzi, a brother Bill Giebell, four nephews John and James Sinsel, Derek Giebell, Doug Pleasants, four nieces Stephanie Kuca, Sara Giebell, Starry Pleasants and Holly Bell. Visitation will be at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St, Weirton, WV, Sunday, from 7-9 PM and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM with Parastas service at 8:15 PM, Monday evening. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated by Father Edward Lucas, Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at 10 AM at St Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, 3116 Elm St, Weirton. Burial will follow at St Paul Cemetery.   1. Dear George and family: I am saddened by your loss because it is a terrific one, however, I take comfort in the knowledge that Beverly is now at rest peacefully. As I sit here a rush of images comes to mind from St. Mary’s or family events and I see Beverly. The last time I saw her was at my mother’s funeral in 2005, I know it took great effort on her part to be there that day.
