Billy Gump

Billy Gump, loving father and grandfather, 72, of Weirton, WV passed away Saturday, April 15, 2006 at the Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, WV. He was born September 27, 1933, in Coburn, WV, the son of the late John and Alta Gump. Billy was also preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. Billy retired from Weirton Steel with 41 years of service as a steel worker. He was a member of the WSX 25 Year Club and a dedicated and devoted member of the American Legion here in Weirton. Billy proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He is survived by his two sons, David Gump and his wife Carol, and Jim Gump and his wife Valerie, all of Weirton; three brothers, four sisters, and four grandchildren also survive Billy. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2006 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery where Military services will be conducted by the American Legion Post 10 and the Weirton Honor Guard.
