Billy Ray Kemp

Billy Ray Kemp 77 of Weirton passed away Friday April 25, 2003, at his residence. He was born January 19, 1926 in Holidays Cove, WV, the son of the late W. E. and Olive Newland Kemp. His daughter Joyce Adams and a sister Norma Fabian also preceded him. Billy was Christian by faith and retired from Starvaggi Industries where he was a coal truck driver. He served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He is survived by his wife Betty Slusarek Kemp whom he married on August 12, 1948. He has three sons William Michael and his wife Debbie of Toronto, OH, Mark and his wife Renee of Steubenville, OH, Clark and his wife Stacy of Nevillewood, Pa., two daughters Janet Macre and her husband Tony of Weirton, Carol Marino and her husband Fred of Follansbee, WV, three brothers Lawrence and Glen Kemp of Colliers, John Kemp of California, two sisters Margaret Whipkey and her husband Jim of Weirton, and Faye Lynn Glover of California. He has nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28 from 2:00 – 4:00PM and 7:00 – 9:00PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday.
