Carl Elbert Summers Jr.

Carl Elbert Summers Jr. 76 of Weirton passed away February 15, 2004, at the Weirton Geriatric Center. He was born May 28, 1927 in Holidays Cove, Weirton, WV, the son of the late Carl Elbert and Alta Bessie Summers. Carl was a truck driver for 52 years and retired from Richmond Mills Trucking Co. He attended the Salvation Army, and served his country in the United States Navy. Carl is survived by his wife Betty Louise Roush Summers of Weirton, a son Carl Elbert Summers III of Dillonville, OH, step sons Denver Burdette of Steubenville, OH, John Burdette and Jimmy Fox both of Weirton, step daughters, Mary Becker of Weirton, WV and Kathleen Kuschel of Youngstown, OH, nine step grandchildren and ten step great grandchildren. He had seven brothers and one sister. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 17, 2004 from 2:00 -4:00 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St, Weirton, WV, where services will be held at 4:00PM with Pastor David Fink officiating.
