Carl Willis Wilkinson Jr.

Carl Willis Wilkinson, Jr., 84, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2017 in the Weirton Medical Center. He was born May 25, 1933 in Steubenville, OH, the son of the late Carl Willis and Dolores Foreman Wilkinson, Sr. Carl retired from Weirton Steel where he worked as a metallurgical tester in the Sheet Mill for 40 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 10, Weirton Moose Lodge #688, the WSX 25-Year Club and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Carl is survived by his companion of 32 years, Sarah Wounaris of St. Petersburg, FL; son Carl W. Wilkinson III of Pittsburgh, PA; daughters Debra Ann Davis of Riverview, FL, Karlene Sue (Joe) Pietranton of Sarasota, FL, Melanie Renee (Mark) Dusci of Earlysville, VA, Cinthia Lynn (Adam) Yeater of Follansbee, WV and Melissa Lee Rex of San Rafael, CA; step-children Steve Wounaris of Baltimore, MD, William (Tammy) Wounaris, Melissa DeLong and Michelle (Robert) Yuricic all of Weirton; sisters Carol Figel of Woodsfield, OH, Kay Fitting of Scottsdale, AZ and Judith Hale of Bradenton, FL; 20 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Private visitation and funeral service will be held at the convenience of his family.
