Carlous “Peanuts” Angelo loving husband, father, and grandfather, of Weirton, passed away peacefully at the Weirton Medical Center on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. He was eighty-eight years old.
He was born on August 11, 1935, in Dorothy WV., a son to Giovanni and Angel Rich Landy.
Carlous was educated in Whitesville, WV., a Catholic by faith, and a proud member of the United States Army.
Carlous spent his life’s work at WSX employed in their blast furnace, where he was affectionately known as Squeaky.
Carlous was an avid golfer, enjoying the northern climate six months a year on the course at Woodview, the other six months golfing and wintering in Fort Myers, FL. with his lovely wife Imogene, whom he married on July 7, 1957.
His love for the game of golf evolved into establishing a golf accessory business, creating much joy for Carlous, and making numerous friends along the way.
Carlous’s family describes him as a wonderful man who loved his grandchildren, with all his heart. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching the Steelers and PGA matches.
Carlous was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Willie, Pete, Tony, and Joe Angelo, and sisters Mickey Stover and Nellie Landy.
Remembering Carlous with love and affection are his wife of sixty-six years Imogene Wise Angelo, son John G (Glenna) Angelo, daughter Anna Marie (Travis) Huggins all of Colliers, grandchildren Jimmy Heck, Jennifer Latimer, Alicia Angelo, and Gina (Mark) Wendel, great-grandchildren, Noah, Jamie, and Logan Heck, and brother, Orlando Angelone.
Carlous’s request for cremation has been honored.
No services are planned currently.
Carlous will be cremated at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home Crematory, 3219 Main Street, Weirton.

Imogene, Annie, and John I’m so sorry for your loss. Peanuts was such a special person. Always happy. I’ll never forget Sherman telling Uncle Peanuts he liked his hat and he took it off his head and gave it to Sherman. I don’t know what happened to that hat tho.
