Cary Bernard Cox, 55, of Steubenville, Ohio, passed away on October 10, 2024, at the Arbors at Minerva in Minerva, Ohio.
Born on May 16, 1969, in Chester, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Woodrow Alston and Leona Demster Cox.
He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Bonnie Cox; his brother, Larry Cox, and his sister, Diana Prodanovich.
Cary made his living as a truck driver, working for Stark Van Lines and New Cumberland Sanitation, where he was known for his strong work ethic. He was a hard worker until his health would no longer allow him to continue.
Outside of work, Cary embraced the outdoors and found joy in fishing the Ohio River. His sons remember him for his quick wit and sense of humor, rarely taking life too seriously, but always full of laughter. A loyal Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he shared a special love for the game, but nothing compared to the love he had for his boys, who were his pride and joy.
Cary is survived by his three sons, Aaron, Kyler and Robert James Cox; his two brothers, Lenny and Kent Cox; and his sister, Karen Kaczmarek. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Melissa Rotellini Cox.
Cary was cremated at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV.

My deepest sympathy, Aaron, Kyler, & Robert James. As you, he will always be in my heart. His morbid sense of humor, and views will always be remembered by me. Primus lost their greatest fan. it’s been a tough several months, now he’s at peace.
Cary we had so many memories together my greatest memories were the birth of our 3 boys. I wanted nothing more than to be a mother and you gave me 3 beautiful young men they are gonna miss you immensely and I will miss you being there with the boys wether it was fishing watching football you are no longer suffering and that gives me peace until we meet again
