Charlene Joan Hall Soplinski, 85, of Weirton, passed away on April 6, 2015 at Weirton Medical Center. She was born April 29, 1929 in Harrison County, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband John on August 1, 2008, her Father William Edwin Hall and her mother Viva Helmick Hall McCaskey. She was married to John on August 2, 1947 in St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church by Father Edmund Weinheimer. Charlene was a life-long member of St. Paul's Church and the Christian Mothers. She was also a member of the Weirton Medical Center Services for 32 years, volunteering for over 600 hours. She enjoyed bowling for many years at the local bowling centers. She was an avid sports fan and loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and West Virginia sports teams. She is survived by her son Gary E. (Susan) Soplinski of Weirton, daughter Janice K. (Dr. Mark) Robinson of Morgantown, grandsons John D. Soplinski of Pittsburgh, Matthew R. (Lorraine) Soplinski of Orlando, FL., Todd J. (fianc Jessica Wilcox) Soplinski of Tampa, FL., Brian Robinson of Morgantown and two great-grandchildren, twins Parker and Zoe Soplinski. As per Charlene's wishes there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weirton. Entombment will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery Mausoleum.
