Charles C. Znoy

Charles C. Znoy, 79, of Weirton died Wednesday October 23, 2002, at his home.
He was born on May 20, 1923 in Slovan, PA, the son of the late Lawrence and Anna Branska Znoy.
Charles was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Frattini Znoy on August 17, 1994, and his four brothers, Stanley, Joseph, Michael, and Louis Znoy.
He retired after 40 years of service as a motor inspector, and a crane operator in the B.O.P. of Weirton Steel Corporation. He served his country during World War II in the United States Army. Charles was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church in Weirton, the Weirton Steel 25 year club and the Knights of Columbus 3734.
He is survived by his son, Robert C. Znoy of Alexandria VA; his daughter Joyce M. Znoy of Weirton, WV; his brother, Edward Znoy of Sterling, MI, and his two sisters, Helen Wetzel of Warren, OH, and Stephanie Vucelich of Tipp City, OH.
Visitation will be 7-9 PM Thursday, and 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday, at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV
A vigil service will be held 8:30 PM Friday, in the funeral home.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Saturday, at the Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Weirton.
Rev. Fr. D. Kent Durig will preside.
Entombment will follow, at the Saint Paul Cemetery Mausoleum, with military services conducted by the American Legion Post 10 Honor Guard, VFW 2716 Firing Squad, and the Tri State Marine Corp.
