charles e. neverly, jr.
Charles E. "Chuck" Neverly, Jr., 68, of Weirton, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at his home. He was born June 5, 1948 in Latrobe, PA, a son of the late Charles and Mildred Allen Neverly, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his brother Robert Neverly and brother in law Scott Snider. A veteran of the US Army, Chuck retired from Arcelor Mittal where he served as a receiving clerk. He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church and a former member of the Weirton VFW 2716. Chuck enjoyed playing street hockey with his brothers, and played in several baseball leagues. He was loved by his family and friends, and was always ready to help anybody in need. He loved his family pet, and enjoyed watching his favorite teams on TV the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins. Chuck will always be remembered for his great sense of humor. He is survived by his wife Judy Petrick Neverly of Weirton, whom he married August 28, 1970; brothers William (Sondra) Neverly, Kevin (Jeanie) Neverly all of Weirton and Allen (Cid) Neverly of Chester, WV and sister Elaine Snider of Steubenville, OH. Visitation will be held Friday 1-5PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am Saturday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church with the Reverend Father Larry Dorsch officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton, where Military Services will be conducted by the American Legion Honor Guard.
