Cheryl Louise (Shultz) Bell, 64, of New Cumberland, WV, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2012 in the Weirton Medical Center. Born December 1, 1947 in Weirton, she was a daughter of the late Ira and Marjorie Birkhimer Shultz. She was also preceded in death by her sister Iris Chaffin. Mrs. Bell worked as an inside sales representative for the former Ft. Steuben Metals and was a member of the Oakland Presbyterian Church where she was active in the church choir. She also enjoyed bowling with family and friends. Cheryl is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Larry Gordon Bell of New Cumberland; son Derek Gordon Bell and his wife Amanda of Kingwood, WV; brother Larry James Shultz and his wife Beverly of New Manchester, WV; sisters Sandra Tournay and Phyllis Weekly and her husband Lloyd all of Weirton and grandchildren Logan Gordon and Scarlet Jane Bell. In honoring Cheryl's wishes, private funeral services will be held at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV.

  15. my deepest sympathy goes out to larry and derek. cheryl and i worked together at walmart and she was the most amazing woman. she took me under her wing and gave me lots of hope when i was going thru a bad time and always made me feel better. she was like a 2nd mother to me. i loved her very much and was shocked at the news of her passing. my thoughts prayers and love goes out to her family. she was a remarkable woman, a dedicated wife and mother, a hard worker and a very loving friend who will be missed.
