Cleo D. Robinson

Cleo D. Robinson, 77, of Weirton, died Monday, November 11, 2002 at the Weirton Medical Center. He was born March 28, 1925 in Russet, West Virginia, the son of the late Homer and Maude Boon Robinson. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Hays, Kail, Kenneth and Paul Robinson and 4 sisters, Beulah Stump, Glena Kerby, Olilee Moyer and Evadean McElwee.
He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in New Cumberland, Trinity United Methodist Men, Halls Hunting Club and Jefferson Hunting Club. Cleo retired from Weirton Steel after 28 years of service as turn foreman in the Annealing Department of the Sheet Mill. He was a World War II US Navy veteran and a member of the Weirton Steel 25-Year Club.
Cleo is survived by his wife Elmadeen M. Fox Robinson whom he married September 15, 1946; two sons Richard Robinson of Walaka, Florida and Ronald Robinson and his wife Betty of Weirton; daughter Diana Vuiller and her husband Ron also of Weirton; sister Emogean Hartshorn of Grantsville, WV and grandchildren Christopher Robinson and his wife Bridget, Amy Robinson and Matthew Wansack.
Friends may call at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton on Wednesday, November 13 from 7:00 – 9:00PM and on Thursday from 2:00 – 4:00PM and 7:00 – 9:00PM.
Mr. Robinson will lie in state from 10:00AM until the 11:00AM services on Friday at the Trinity United Methodist Church with Reverend Billy Ray Carpenter officiating.
Interment will follow at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Weirton.
